Far away, close to the place which he called his home for so long, a cold, biting wind blows across an empty field. Unusually cold for the time of year, all is silent as though in wait for a coming event. The surrounding land is hushed. No sound can be heard.
Deep in the ground, something stirs. Something long gone now, something primeval, something determined.
The ground slowly begins to shake, a slow upheaval begins.
The time is quickly approaching. Nothing will slow or stop that which climbs from deep in the earth.

A hot muggy day with brilliant sunshine after a full night of rain, the humidity making it that much more uncomfortable, Major StarKey sat at his desk preparing orders, to be posted, requesting this months Stats from the Knights under his command. The opened windows seemed to help slightly, catching the breeze that blew down from the north.
A gust of wind blew hard through the window disrupting the papers on his desk, the quickness of the event taking him by surprise, but what perplexed him most was the sudden chill he felt, sending a shiver throughout his body. It was a coolness like that felt upon entering a long unopened door that leads to the lower level storage underground. As quickly as it happened, it ended with the repressive heat and the calmness of the afternoon returning.
An odd moment, one he soon forgot about, finishing up his paperwork, looking forward to a relaxed evening in his humble abode.

He ran out from his room and start to look for him.

Though in all honesty with my new job and Real Life obligations my time will be limited somewhat. Also, Raythouse is gone, at least in body. I have started a new character and am building him up. The fun part will be for my commrades to find me. I shall not hide, and the hints are there. You just have to look.
